Student Clubs and Organizations

Amnesty International is a non-partisan, global grassroots organization dedicated to sustaining the individual's human rights in the face of governmental power and abuse. We are a student group focused on raising awareness of, and dedicated to, promoting human rights advocacy. We engage on campus with local, national, and international human rights issues through the framework of Amnesty International.

From guest lecturers and workshops to field trips and service projects, the Anthropology Club is a great opportunity for students to engage with other anthropology majors/minors and promote anthropological interests and awareness.

The Child & Family Studies Student Association is a social outlet for those interested in careers that help people. They work closely with students, faculty, and community partners to serve others and the organizations that touch families' lives. It is a great place to meet other students, grow your prospects for leadership and careers, and have a lot of fun!

Civic Champions are students committed to becoming the next generation of informed and active citizens in our republic. Whether serving as interns, hosting podcasts, or leading political clubs and organizations, all students involved with the Walker Institute are Civic Champions. The Walker Institute proudly supports student-led initiatives, so if you have an idea for a political club or activity, we encourage you to connect with us and bring it to life.

Educators Rising Collegiate provides students with opportunities to explore teaching as a career option, provides service to 91·çÁ÷ campus and the local community, and helps future educators gain access to scholarships, relevant resources, information, and professional development.

The Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl is a unique debate competition that promotes thoughtful, respectful, and civil discourse. In teams of five, undergraduate students engage with peers from other colleges to debate complex moral and ethical issues, developing their critical thinking and public speaking skills.

The Gamma Theta Upsilon chapter at 91·çÁ÷ recognizes and promotes academic excellence in geography. As part of the international honor society, members engage in activities that support geographic research, awareness, and professional development.

The Geography Club brings together students who are passionate about exploring the world, cultures, and the environment through events, field trips, and discussions. The club fosters curiosity and engagement with local and global geographic issues.

The Mock Trial Team offers students the opportunity to sharpen their public speaking, critical thinking, and understanding of legal procedures through simulated courtroom experiences. Our team has earned recognition at both regional and national mock trial tournaments.

Model United Nations, or Model UN, is an academic opportunity in which students apply diplomacy, negotiation, research, and public speaking skills in a simulation of the United Nations. Students choose different countries to represent in the General Assembly, Security Council, and other associated UN bodies.

Moot Court is a competitive extracurricular activity in which teams of two students argue cases in front of a panel of judges, simulating the experience of arguing before the Supreme Court of the United States. Open to undergraduates of all majors, the Moot Court Team provides the opportunity to develop advocacy, legal reasoning, and public speaking skills.

The Neuroscience Club is a great experience for students interested in learning about the brain, participating in community outreach, and meeting new people. The club hosts on-campus socials and tailgating parties, as well as academic events like journal clubs and the Neuroscience Lecture Series.

Nu Rho Psi, the national honor society for neuroscience, was founded with the purpose of promoting, encouraging, and increasing awareness of neuroscience. 91·çÁ÷’s chapter of Nu Rho Psi engages with the Neuroscience Club to host events and plan activities.

Phi Alpha, the international honor society for social work, provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate social work students to create bonds with their peers while promoting humanitarian goals and ideals.

Phi Alpha Theta, the national honor society for history, is led by student officers who work diligently to develop fun, interesting ways to engage in research, publication, teaching, and the exchange of ideas among historians.

The Philosophy Club creates a welcoming space for students to explore life’s big questions through thought-provoking discussions, guest speakers, and debates. Open to all majors, the club encourages critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves.

This student-run organization hosts events to help students learn more about law school, network with other pre-law students, and meet 91·çÁ÷ alumni who are currently attending law school.

Psi Chi is the international honor society in psychology that recognizes and promotes excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service. Our chapter of Psi Chi offers opportunities for academic enrichment, professional development, and community engagement for students passionate about the field of psychology.

Join the Psychological Science Club to work with fellow students and professors in conducting research, completing service projects, and getting more involved on campus. You don’t need to be a psychological science major to join the club, so don’t hesitate to apply!

The Social Work Club (91·çÁ÷SW) provides opportunities for students to get involved in social, service, and scholarly activities with fellow social work majors. The club also advocates for social justice and helps students build connections with professionals and organizations in the community.

The Sociology Club offers many opportunities to get involved in and out of the classroom. Participate in guest lectures, research presentations, and club socials with fellow undergraduate students at 91·çÁ÷.
