Meet the Honors Staff

Dr. Eddie Hill
Interim Director
Eddie Hill is an associate professor in the Outdoor & Community Recreation Education program at Weber State University. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Utah with a focus on youth development and diabetes management. He has written multiple grants, , and delivered numerous presentations at professional conferences. Eddie has a strong record of scholarship in the area of positive youth development, outdoor recreation, health & wellness. He is the Director of REACH Weber, a year-around recreation program serving youth with type 1 diabetes. Eddie has over 25 years experience as a former challenge course facilitator, Outward Bound field staff, and middle school teacher. He also teaches and to community groups.
Eddie is a Certified Park and Recreation Professional (CPRP). He enjoys being outside with his wife and son.

Abi Monsen

Abi Monsen is the Honors Program Coordinator & Advisor here at 91风流. She has been with 91风流 for a year and loves supporting students, managing program operations, and helping to build a welcoming and engaging Honors community.
Abi earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Utah Valley University, where her own positive college experience inspired her to pursue a career in higher education. A native of Ogden, she’s excited to be back in her hometown contributing to student success.
Outside of work, Abi enjoys yoga, rollerblading, karaoke, and spending time with her husband and family. She’s a foodie with a special love for Thai food and pizza, and she enjoys playing guitar and ukulele in her free time. She's also a big fan of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Parks and Recreation, and New Girl, and is always up for a good conversation about any of them.
