NEW Palace Acquire (PAQ) Interns
EAST Majors
We are looking for help in finding Palace Acquire (PAQ) Interns for multiple AFNWC locations for FY26. Please help spread the word quickly to family, friends and co-workers who may be interested in joining our workforce as a PAQ. This is a time sensitive request as our PAQ positions need to be submitted 90 days prior to the start date. Start dates and locations are listed below.
To qualify for the PM PAQ program:
- Individuals must have at least a Bachelor Degree with a 2.95 minimum GPA. Individuals with a Bachelor Degree start as GS-07s while individuals with a Master Degree start as GS-09s.
- Individuals who wish to apply for an allocation must apply at least 60 days before the open allocation.
- The PAQ program can be a two or three year program focused on developing professionals for success.
- PAQ internships are full-time positions that are fully funded through the Central Salary Account through AFPC for the position duration (2 or 3 year tour)
- Annual promotion opportunities are based upon successful performance, acceptable conduct, completion of training plan year requirements, and time-in-grade requirements (i.e., Year 1: GS-7, Year 2: GS-9, Year 3: GS-11). Upon program completion, the intent is for the owning organization to outplace the intern onto a locally funded position at their target grade (GS12).
Among the many positions to be filled, AFNWC has the following openings for PM PAQs:
- Hanscom AFB, MA - 1 allocation to begin May 2026.
- Kirtland AFB, NM - 1 allocation in September 2026
- Hill AFB, UT - 1 allocation for NCS beginning August 2026, 2 allocations to begin September 2026 (total 3)

- S&E PAQs must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited university and should plan on receiving a paid Master’s degree in a technical field of study.
- Individuals who wish to apply for an allocation must apply at least 60 days before the open allocation.
- The PAQ program is a three year program focused on developing professionals for success and completing a technical Master’s program.
- PAQ internships are full-time positions that are fully funded through the Central Salary Account through AFPC for the position duration (3 year tour)
- Annual promotion opportunities are based upon successful performance, acceptable conduct, completion of Master’s program and training plan year requirements, and time-in-grade requirements. Upon program completion, the intent is for the owning organization to outplace the intern onto a locally funded position at their target grade. (NH03)

All three positions focus on Digital Accessibility and the auditing and remediation of course artifacts or public web pages. The positions are expected to run from January through April/May of this coming year.
- Required Skills: Candidates should have some exposure to HTML and Web Accessibility through coursework. If you have strong candidates who may need to fill a skill gap, please let me know; we may be able to offer some self-paced leveling.
- Compensation: The Dean of Science positions offer a bit more pay, as those individuals will be working with complex formulas in Math, Chemistry, and Engineering. Recent grads may be a good fit for these positions.
- Timeline: We generally plan to interview throughout December with work beginning in January.
- Work Eligibility: These positions require candidates to be already cleared for work in the U.S. International students who already possess an SSN are encouraged to apply.
