Deposit is due 72 hours after registration. If not paid in that timeframe, you may be dropped from your trip.
Payments can now be made online! Visit this website for instructions on how to pay your deposit and future payments online. Charges should show on your account within 24-48 hours after registration. If you want to pay with cash or check, please pay at the Hurst Center for Lifelong Learning.
Includes: airfare, insurance, tuition, room and board, local transportation in-country, excursions, and most meals.
Not included: passport, incidentals, excess baggage costs, any unscheduled travel, and some meals.

Day 0 (Aug. 13): meeting at 91风流 campus to distribute extra items, meeting at an airport Terminal - SLC to KEF
Day 1 (August 14): Landing in Keflavik ca. 9 am, shopping in COSTCO and BONUS, lunch in IKEA store. geothermal beach, National Museum Of Iceland, sedimentary rocks on the coast, rootless volcanoes, cooking dinner in our station. Opportunities for Icelandic filmmaker chat
Day 2 (August 15): Explore Reykjavik, potential film screening and site visits
Day 3 (August 16): Pingvelir National Park (the rift valley), Geyser geothermal field, waterfalls, tour of Reyjkavik independent cinema and history
Day 4 (August 17): Reykjaness Penninsula, Rift Valley, Geothermal Plant, Blue Lagoon
Location 2: Selfoss
Day 5 (August 18) Transport to location 2 between Selfoss and Vik
Day 6 (August 19): Westman Islands, Haymean Island, boat tour, Edfel volcanic eruption of 1973.
Day 7 (August 20): Black Beach Sand, Coastal Erosion, Katla, Hekla, Eyafjatkajokull, volcanoes,
Day 8 (August 21): Glacier tour.
Day 9 (August 22) Glacier Bay
Day 10 (August 23): Transport to Reykjavik, Unique Evening Cultural Festival
Day 11 (August 24): flight from Keflavik Airport.
Day 12: (August 25) Arriving at SLC airport early morning.

Dr. Aaron Atkins is a mass communication professor with a focus on digital media, film, and journalism.
Dr. Marek Matyjasik is the department chair of Earth and Environmental Sciences and a geoscience professor with a focus on physical and engineering geology.
If Weber State cancels a trip for any reason, all participants will be refunded 100% of funds paid to the school. If a participant withdraws from the program for any reason, they are subject to the refund policy found on the first page of the application. Deposits are always non-refundable, unless the program is canceled by Weber State. No refunds will be issued 30 days prior to program start date.
Refunds will NOT be given to students due to COVID-19 concerns. Before programs were canceled in 2020, every student was given the option to withdraw from programs without penalty due to COVID-19. This year students are applying, cognizant of the pandemic. Weber State will not intentionally place students into high risk situations. We will work together with Program Leaders and Departments on canceling should the destination demonstrate increased risks, be they from COVID or any other concern. As such, students must abide by the standard refund policy.
