Faculty Ombuds
Informal problem solving and conflict management for all full and part-time Weber State Faculty. The responsibilities of the Faculty Ombuds include:
-
Serving as an advisor to faculty to assist them in determining the viability of their complaints and issues.
-
Directing faculty to appropriate offices, committees, and university rules and policies.
-
Serving when appropriate as an informal mediator of early-stage complaints, mediating as an impartial party rather than as an advocate for faculty involved in complaints.
The faculty ombuds is a neutral, informal source of assistance that is intended to complement and not supplant Weber State policies and procedures. The Office provides an extra option for you to use in complete confidence. It is intended to help you find and access–not to replace–formal resources, offices, policies, and procedures as you need them.
