Admission Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
Applicants for admission into the Master of Science in Systems Engineering program must possess a B.Sc. in engineering (EAC), engineering-technology (ETAC), or computing (CAC) from an ABET-accredited program with Calculus I and II and upper-division calculus-based STEM Statistics as a minimum. B.Sc. in any other related subject is on a case-by-case basis only. A minimum overall GPA of 3.0 is required from the undergraduate program in which the bachelor’s degree is earned; a 3.3 is preferred. The program reviews the student portfolio, including bachelor's program, calculus, and statistics grades, the rigor of courses taken (upper division), work experience, professional certifications, and participation in the systems community).
- Preference is given to graduates of hard sciences (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry).
- Specific industry or military experience is also considered and evaluated for potential acceptance into the program.
- Any non-engineering candidate accepted into the program is subject to leveling coursework as prescribed by the department. This includes mathematics, physics, chemistry, and any other engineering coursework deemed critical to the SE credential.
3.00 GPA

Leveling Courses
After being provisionally accepted, students who have not graduated from an ABET accredited program or have not completed college Calculus l, ll, and STEM statistics, must demonstrate the ability to pass the following courses:
- 3.0 or better in each is required
- There could be additional leveling courses to meet the minimum math, physics, and computer science requirements as established by the Systems Engineering program.
- Leveling courses must be completed from a regional accrediting association recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Application Materials
Completed application
You are responsible for submitting a complete application.
The final online application process prompts you to submit your completed application. Your application will not be considered until you have submitted a "complete" online application and all necessary documents have been received by the MSSE program.
Application Fee
Each MSSE application must be accompanied by the application fee. A credit card is the preferred form of payment, but other forms are welcome. Additional instructions are in the online application.

Official transcripts

If you are a Weber State University graduate, please download a copy of your unofficial transcripts from your eWeber portal using the Unofficial Transcript app and upload them to your application.
If you have completed coursework at any other institution that has not yet been transferred to Weber State, you must request an official transcript from that institution. Please follow their process to have the official transcript sent directly to Weber State University (see instructions below).
Non-91风流 Graduates:
Submit official transcripts from all higher education institutions you have attended. This includes associate's, bachelor's, and master's degrees from any and all institutions where you have taken a course.
Submission Instructions:
You may submit your official transcript(s) in one of the following ways:
- Preferred Method: Request that your transcripts be sent securely and electronically from the degree-granting institution to msse@weber.edu.
- Alternative Methods: Request your official transcripts online through the to be sent to Weber State. Send a copy of your request to msse@weber.edu so we can follow up with the admissions office.
- By Mail: Transcripts must be sent UNOPENED in their original sealed envelope to the following address:

- GRE test scores are required if all previous degrees were conferred by an institution outside of the U.S.
