Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering Accelerated Graduate Degree Pathway

4+1 (4 years undergraduate + 1 year graduate)

Engineer your future faster! Earn both your Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and your Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in just five years. By sharing up to 12 credits between programs, you can save over $2000 in tuition and fees by completing graduate coursework at undergraduate rates.

Applicants for admission into the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering program must meet all of the listed eligibility requirements to qualify for the program. All applications will go through a formal review process, and admission to the accelerated pathway is not guaranteed.

Application deadlines:

  • For enrolling in Spring: October 25
  • For enrolling in Fall: July 15

Advising & Planning

Because timing and credit alignment are critical for this accelerated timeline, early planning is highly recommended.

Who should meet with an Undergraduate Advisor?

Please schedule an appointment with an Undergraduate Mechanical Engineering Academic Advisor if you are:

  • A current Weber State BSME major looking to map out your remaining undergraduate semesters.
  • An undergraduate student considering transferring to Weber State to pursue their BSME degree, who wants to see how their current transfer credits will align with the accelerated timeline.

Note: Students are highly encouraged to begin planning early and meet with an undergraduate academic advisor during the first semester of their junior year.
