Weber State University’s Department of Communication focuses on providing our students in Utah with personalized teaching from award-winning faculty, innovative curriculum and hands-on learning environments, all in state-of-the-art facilities.

Beyond the Classroom

You can get experience working in a newsroom, radio station or social media lab. In addition to your classes, you can create media productions or public relations campaigns for the community, or compete on our award-winning speech or debate team. Learn more about our student organizations.

Whether you aspire to manage social media, build communication strategies, report for a news outlet, create entertaining videos, run for political office, lead a company or improve relationship communication, a communication degree will prepare you for a meaningful and successful career.

You’ll gain valuable experience through a program internship that can lead to your dream job. A communication degree is also a great base for pursuing graduate degrees in communication, law or business, such as Weber State’s Master of Professional Communication (MPC).
