• Meet the Program Administrator

  The Matthew S. Browning Design Lab is led by Jake McIntire. Jake, a first generation college graduate, was born and raised in Ogden. Jake  is passionate about the role design, culture, art, and creativity play in the transformation of organizations and communities. He has spent his  creative practice exploring this dynamic relationship. Jake describes his work as Stakeholder-centered Design, a way of designing that deeply considers all stakeholders within and outside of the project parameters. He approaches his work in organizational design strategy and as a collaborative artistic practice backed by creativity and a passion for communicating collective meaning. His work has helped to expand the reach, impact, and sustainability of cultural organizations and government agencies throughout Utah and beyond.

  Jake received his Masters Degree of Fine Arts in Collaborative Design with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship, Urban Theory, and Social Systems from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. He holds a Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts with Honors in Intermedia Sculpture and a minor in Business from the University of Utah. Jake is also the Founder and Principal of Union Creative Agency.

  Prior to stepping in as Program Administrator in 2024 91·çÁ÷ Jake was a Matthew S. Browning Design Lab Fellow and Department of Visual Art & Design adjunct instructor.
