Studying Dental Hygiene at Weber State

Weber State’s dental hygiene major offers students a strong foundation in clinical and community care. As the flagship dental hygiene program in the state, we provide students with unique opportunities including multiple high-impact clinical and educational experiences.

Dental Hygiene Highlights

Students gain experience working with the latest technology in providing hands-on and rewarding patient care. Our highly skilled faculty and low faculty-student ratios offer students personalized instruction and mentorship in both the classroom and clinical settings.

Students learn the latest in oral health trends and evidence-based practice in providing dental hygiene care. This program is fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), which is part of the American Dental Association.

Beyond the Classroom

Whether you choose to complete your associate's or bachelor's degree, you’ll be prepared for employment and with the skills needed for successful completion of licensure examinations.

The program fosters professional and leadership development through active involvement with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and its own active student chapter.
